Barley

Barley comes in two varieties, distinguished by the number of rows of flowers on its flower spike. Six-row barley or two-row barley. Six-row barley has a higher protein content and is more suited for animal feed, two-row barley has a higher sugar content and is commonly used for malt production.

Metcalf

Metcalfe is the old standard for malt barley and can be used as a feed barley as well. Medium maturity, medium height.

Hockett

Hockett makes a great malt or feed barley with excellent test weight even on dry years. Medium maturity, medium height.

Altorado

Altorado is a feed barley with excellent yield potential on irrigated or dryland acres. It is a little bit shorter than other barley. Medium maturity, short height.
